Fitness Branding Photoshoot at Apex Gym, Swindon – Laura Caddy Lifts
As a fitness photographer in Wiltshire, I get to work with some truly inspiring people, but this shoot with Laura Caddy Lifts at Apex Gym in Swindon was something special. This was our second fitness branding photoshoot together, and the growth in confidence, strength, and presence in front of the camera was impossible to miss.
The shoot took place at Apex Gym, Unit 69, Bizspace, Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, Swindon, a privately owned personal training and fitness facility with a fantastic atmosphere. It’s the kind of gym that works perfectly for fitness photography, offering clean lines, strong lighting, and a professional yet welcoming feel — ideal for branding content for websites and social media.
Fitness Photography for Personal Trainers in Swindon & Wiltshire
Laura booked this session to get fresh fitness branding photos off the ground for her website and to support the Instagram content she shares alongside her coaching. Like many personal trainers and online fitness coaches, Laura doesn’t post constantly — so when she does, the images need to work hard. That’s where professional fitness branding photography really comes into its own.
These images were designed to:
Support her website content
Create a consistent, confident online presence
Be flexible for Instagram posts, marketing, and future launches
Show her as both a coach and a woman who genuinely lives what she teaches
As a fitness photographer covering Swindon, Marlborough, Newbury and across Wiltshire, my aim is always to create images that feel real, strong, and aligned with the brand — not forced or overly staged.
About Laura Caddy Lifts
At Laura Caddy Lifts, the focus is on helping professional women over 35 feel strong, confident, and empowered in their bodies — without extreme diets or unrealistic routines. Laura’s approach is refreshingly grounded. It’s about sustainable training, building strength, and feeling good both physically and mentally.
What makes this even more powerful is that Laura lives and breathes her own message. She’s been on her own fitness journey — hitting the gym, lifting weights, getting her steps in, and showing up consistently. This shoot wasn’t about pretending to be something she isn’t. It was about showcasing what she truly believes in and how she feels in herself now.
And that really shows in the images.
The Difference a Second Shoot Makes
Our first shoot together was great — Laura already had good confidence in front of the camera. But this second session took things to another level. There was a noticeable shift in how she carried herself, how relaxed she was, and how comfortable she felt being seen.
She even powered through a movement she hadn’t done before — a real moment of pushing past a mental barrier. Those moments matter. They’re the ones that create authentic images and tell a deeper story than just “trainer in a gym”.
This shoot wasn’t just about content for clients — it was also about Laura feeling good for herself, and that confidence is written all over the final images.
A Coach You’d Want in Your Corner
Laura is genuinely one of the friendliest people I’ve met in years — welcoming, bubbly, and armed with a wicked sense of humour. It’s easy to see how anyone going through her programmes wouldn’t just find an excellent coach, but also a confidant and, quite possibly, a friend for life.
From a branding point of view, that warmth is gold — and capturing it visually is exactly what fitness branding photography should do.
